Ok, can I be honest? I don’t like funerals. I understand the value and think it is the right thing to do to honor someone’s life. I just don’t like the whole flowers, casket, wake, vibe. Recently, I have found myself going to…. you guessed it…. funerals. And despite my own discomfort, I have noticed a pattern.

I have a low tolerance for those who consistently overcomplicate things that should not be that difficult. However, I also have gained an appreciation for the complexities that present themselves in many areas of our lives.

Data tells us that less than half of people trust their employers and that 40% of people have no trusting relationship in their lives.

A wise woman once told me, “You can’t help negative thoughts from flying across your mind, but you don’t have to let them build a nest there”.

Instead of looking ahead and making empty promises to yourself, why don’t you look back?

“It’s the happiest time of the year.”  I realize that is not a true statement for everyone. Some of you are struggling, hurting, or experiencing loneliness this time of the year…

If you can say that you have lived your life without regrets, I will say that you have not lived very long or that you are not very self-aware. We all have done or said things that we later regret.
